Peter Mayhew, the actor who plays Chewbacca in the "Star Wars" films, had his lightsaber-styled cane confiscated by the TSA at the airport as he traveled home following an appearance at the Denver Comic-Con.

Mayhew took to Twitter amid the confrontation to complain the TSA officers "won't allow me through the airport with me cane!" After Mayhew posted multiple photos from the airport security check, the TSA relented and restored the lightsaber -- uh, cane -- to its rightful owner.

The 7-foot, 3-inch tall Mayhew tweeted, "Giant man need giant cane.. small cane snap like toothpick.... besides.. my light saber cane is just cool.. I would miss it.."

After arriving in Dallas, Mayhew tweeted again applauding American Airlines for checking on the situation. He explains the issue was with the Transportation Security Administration officers and had nothing to do with his chosen airline. "I'm a million-miler on American and they are a class act," Mayhew writes.

Note to TSA: Always let the Wookiee win.
