Chris Brown alleged hit-and-run could put him in jail for probation violation - report

chris-brown-hit-and-run-investigation-probation-violation.jpgChris Brown may be in some serious trouble after a fender bender a week ago. Last Tuesday (May 21), Brown was driving his Range Rover in the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles -- with on-again, off-again squeeze Karrueche Tran riding shotgun -- when he rear-ended a Mercedes.

The two appeared to exchange information in the video of the accident, but TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident because Brown allegedly refused to give the other driver his driver's license number and he also allegedly gave her the wrong insurance information.

If that is true, Brown could be violating his probation from the 2009 incident where he beat up then-girlfriend Rihanna. The probation requires he obey all laws. If he broke the law by not disclosing his proper information after the car accident, that could land Brown in jail for a probation violation.

At this time, the LAPD would reportedly like to speak with Brown about the incident.
