San Diego Comic-Con announced Monday (June 10) they are putting a huge pile of convention tickets, officially known as "badges," up for sale by way of a rundown drawing. The new tickets were either canceled or returned by their original buyers.

Registration officials write in an email, "Due to the very limited number of badges available and our vendor EPIC Registration being focused on coordinating onsite registration, the Comic-Con 2013 badge resale will be conducted utilizing a random drawing."

So, basically, they're too busy getting the convention itself ready to deal with reselling cancelled badges, so everyone just throw your name in hat and cross your fingers. Of the "several thousand" badges organizers are putting up for resale, only 3,100 of them are Saturday badges. Four-day passes to the annual event are sold out.

The link to the resale drawing can be found by clicking on to the Member ID account section of the official SDCC website, then choosing the section that says, "Click Here to Enter a Drawing to be Eligible for the Comic-Con 2013 Badge Resale!" Hey, no one accused them of being subtle.

The lucky winners of the drawing will be able to purchase up to two badges each. The entry period closes June 12, so hurry. After all, you won't want to miss the "Veronica Mars" movie cast.
