'Community': Alison Brie and Danny Pudi show off their freestyle rapping

What is there for "Community" stars to do while they wait for their show to finally return for season 4? Apparently, the answer for two of the actors is freestyle rapping: Alison Brie and Danny Pudi showed off their skills on Friday (Dec. 14).

And you thought they were just funny.

They still are funny, of course. Brie's rap includes references to her band, yoga, pie, pi, sweatshirts, TV-watching, Pudi's inability to leave off beat-boxing to start singing and "Community."

Because she's a nice girl Alison Brie ends the performance by carefully placing her mic on the floor.

The completely random performance came during a concert in which Brie was performing with her band, The Girls (also featuring Julianna Guill and Cyrina Fiallo), and with the bluegrass band, Jones Street Station. Probably just because she could, Brie invited Pudi to come up from the audience to join her.

That's when the rap magic happened.

The smooth-ish stylings of Brie and Pudi may not be a match for their "Community" co-star Donald Glover (who performs regularly under the name Childish Gambino), but they were awfully impressive for a couple of actors battling it out in some impromptu rap.

Now if we could just get these guys back on TV...
