'Community' star Joel McHale is 'praying' that Dan Harmon stays on as showrunner

Now, after the show was moved to Friday nights at 8:30, there is a report saying Dan Harmon, who created the show, might not be back as show runner. TV Line spoke to star Joel McHale, who tells them, "My Twitter feed had about 500 'at' (@) mentions" from followers curious about the unexpected wrinkle," he says, having been on a plane when the news broke. "I was like, 'Oh, something must have happened.' And it was that whole thing."

"Dan's the creator of the show, so to lose his voice would be pretty crazy," McHale says. "He gave me the role of a lifetime, so it would be a very weird scenario [to continue] without him." It's really hard to imagine why this is happening in Season 4 with a 13-episode run. No word if this has to do with Chase in any way.

"I pray that it works out well," McHale continues. "That sounds weird and vague, but I really do. I literally am praying." So what do you think? Should Dan Harmon stay with the show? Sound off below.
