Connie Britton signs on to Ryan Murphy's 'Horror Story' at FX

Britton has taken one of the lead roles in "American Horror Story," from "Glee" co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, Deadline reports. The pilot is scheduled to shoot in April, after "Glee" wraps production for the season.

FX is remaining quiet about just what the show is about, but per Deadline Britton will be playing one of the two lead roles. The show centers on a therapist named Ben Harmon and his wife, Vivien (Britton).

The project is actually the second one at FX for Britton, an Emmy nominee last year for "FNL." She's also attached as a producer and potential star of a drama from "The Fighter" director David O. Russell. That project, however, is still in the early stages of development.
