Coolio and son locked up in Las Vegas jail together
Rapper Coolio and his son Grtis are both cooling their heels in Las Vegas' Clark County Detention Center after landing in jail for two entirely separate reasons.
Coolio (real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) was taken into custody on Friday (March 9) by police during a routine traffic stop. He happened to be the passenger in a car that a friend was driving when it was pulled over for a traffic violation. Police ran his name and found two outstanding bench warrants -- also stemming from traffic violations, reports TMZ.
Son Grtis, 22, is being held without bail on several charges including robbery with a deadly weapon, first degree kidnapping and grand larceny, reports TMZ. Grtis was arrested in November after allegedly robbing a prostitute of two iPads, two laptop and passports.
Grtis and an accomplice deny possessing weapons at the time of the robbery. They don't deny the robbery part, though.
