'Cougar Town': Watch Monday for a chance to talk to the cast

cougar-town-penny-can.jpgThe return of "Cougar Town" on Monday (April 18) will give fans a chance to chat with the show's cast and crew. And we mean "chat" in the old-school sense of the word.

In the episode, which airs at 9:30 p.m. ET Monday following "Dancing With the Stars," Bobby ( Brian Van Holt) is looking for a way to make money, so he and Laurie ( Busy Philipps) try to start marketing Penny Can to the public. As they're kicking around marketing plans, they mention a phone number people can call to place orders.

Pay attention to that number, because it's real: If you call it after Monday's show, you might get to speak to a member of the cast or creators Kevin Biegel and Bill Lawrence. You'll also hear instructions on how to order your own "Bobby Cobb Official Competition Penny Can."

The "Cougar Town" phone stunt isn't the first one for a Lawrence-produced show; during Season 4 of "Scrubs," Turk (Donald Faison) gave out his number during an episode, and fans who dialed 916-CALL-TURK were likely to get connected to a member of the show's cast. (We wouldn't recommend dialing that number now, though, in case the number has been recycled and now belongs to some unwitting soul.)

"Cougar Town" airs after "DWTS" at 9:30 p.m. Monday and returns to its regular timeslot at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.
