Court makes error, Sharon Stone still has joint custody of son

Sharon_stoneIt was widely reported last week that Sharon Stone lost custody of her son, Roan, 8, to her ex-husband, Phil Bronstein.

But according to Sharon's lawyers, the actress has, in fact, NOT lost joint custody.

Apparently, the clerk made a boo-boo in writing the court docs. The papers state that Phil would have "sole physical custody," but it also goes on to explain that "custody, visitation, holiday, and vacation schedule shall remain in place as outlined" in a previous court appearance.

So everything remains the same.

Blame it on the court clerk!

Sharon Stone's lawyers released a statement that explains what happened and why:

"The court order of 2007 provided that Roan was to go to school in San Francisco. [Stone] wanted the court to modify the order so her child could go to school in Los Angeles," the lawyers tell TMZ. "But the court felt, for whatever reason, that she did not meet a burden to move him out of San Francisco during the school year."

"She thought it was best at this young age that she had these two younger children to have her older son be with them and the court didn't want to modify the order. She loves her son and felt it would be better to have her child in Los Angeles."

Maybe next year.

Keep trying, Sharon. It seems it would be nice for the boys to all be together, including during the school year. Sure, the actress wears fur and misspoke about the Chinese quake victims, but I'm with La Stone on this matter. Do you agree?
