Craig Robinson, 'The Office' alum, arrested for ecstasy and weed possession
Craig Robinson has often played a character who uses drugs on television and in movies, but this time life imitating art didn't work out so well for him. "The Office" alum was arrested in the Bahamas on Oct. 9 after he tried to board a plane with 18 ecstasy pills and a half a gram of marijuana.
After pleading guilty to two counts of drug possession, Robinson could have faced up to four years in prison. Fortunately for him, Robinson only got a $1000 fine from the magistrate and was ordered to leave the country as quickly as possible, TMZ reports.
This isn't Robinson's first drug trouble. In 2008, he was arrested for possession of both MDMA and meth, though both of those charges were later dropped as well. At the time, Robinson, had to participate in a drug diversion program.
TMZ reports that Robinson told the magistrate he hadn't realized ecstasy and weed were outlawed in the Bahamas. A Bahamian law enforcement official told reporters after Robinson's hearing that the situation was "nothing major."
