Dan Aykroyd joins HBO Liberace biopic, TNT schedules 'Dallas' webisodes and more

dan-aykroyd-getty.jpg Dan Aykroyd will join fellow movie stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon in HBO's upcoming biopic about famed entertainer Liberace, "Behind the Candelabra." Douglas will play the flamboyant musician, while Damon will co-star as Liberace's lover, Scott Thorson. Aykroyd has signed on as Seymour Heller, Liberace's manager. The movie will air on HBO in North America, but is aiming for theatrical release internationally. It'll begin filming this summer. [ Variety]

FX has enlisted Aussie comedian Jim Jeffries to create and star in a new series called "Legit," about "a comedian trying to get his life in order." It'll debut in January. [ Vulture]

TNT is setting up a contingency plan for fans who can't get enough of its soon-to-launch "Dallas" reboot and the second season of alien invasion drama "Falling Skies": webisodes. The network announced that 15-minute talk shows will air after each episode, featuring cast interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, fan questions, trivia and other fun bonus material. [ TNT]

TLC's newest show is "Four Houses," a competition where four homeowners will critique each other's homes in an attempt to win $10,000 and a feature in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. [ TLC]
