'Dancing With the Stars': All-Stars react to Pamela Anderson's elimination
In fact, after taping a quick segment for "Jimmy Kimmel Live,' Anderson disappeared -- and reporters were told she would not be doing interviews.
Kirstie Alley sympathizes with the blonde bombshell, who was clearly shaken up by her performance: "She lost her confidence and let the pressure get to her," Alley told us after the show.
"There's a different kind of pressure than there was the first time," Alley noted, who, with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was among the final three couples to hear the results. "It is hard not to fall apart."
"I think this season makes you insecure," agreed Melissa Rycroft, explaining why she and partner Tony Dovolani were so visibly shocked when they learned they were safe. "We were the last to find out [the results] and we knew it was someone from our group who was in the bottom."
"It doesn't seem fair that on an all-star season they're sending someone home in week one," Rycroft added. "I felt bad for her because I know she was disappointed last night. But she's going to be fine. She's going to Broadway, she's Pamela Anderson!"
When asked whether he was going to miss Pamela, Joey Fatone couldn't resist a joke about the top-heavy babe: "There are two assets she has that I'm going to miss," he wisecracked. "One: her personality -- she was a lot of fun. And two: two."
The 'N Syncer admitted he was truly surprised that fellow boy-bander Drew Lachey and his partner, Anna Trebunskaya, ended up in the bottom despite solid scores for their foxtrot.
"I was like, holy crap! Don't go yet!" But he's not going to lay off the smack talk. "Heck no -- I'm still going to drill into him, say stupid things to him, because that's what we do."
The voting was a wake-up call for Lachey. "I came late to social media game," he admitted to us. "I'm still building my Twitter following, and the outcome of tonight's show showed just how important it is."
After consoling himself with a beer tonight, Lachey said, "tomorrow at rehearsal is going to be a new focus. We're going to bring the best routine we possibly can, and we're going to need the fans to do their part and vote for us."
Do you think Drew and Anna deserved to be in the bottom? Do you wish someone else had gone home instead of Pam?
