'Dancing with the Stars': Corbin Bleu's Dothraki 'Game of Thrones' waltz
Every once in awhile on "Dancing with the Stars," a contestant does something so inherently awesome that it cannot be ignored. Corbin Bleu dancing a Viennese waltz to the "Game of Thrones" theme music -- while dressed as the Dothraki Khal Drogo -- was just that awesome.
Watch the video to see for yourself.
It's obvious that whoever put this together was a "GoT" fan. The Drogo and Khaleesi Daenerys costumes are perfect. There's a big Iron Throne upstage, between two big things of fire. Corbin's "Drogo" even dies at the end, appropriately mourned by Karina Smirnoff's Daenerys.
All we needed was Karina throwing herself onto a funeral pyre and emerging with dragons in order to make this perfect. That probably didn't fit into the allotted time though.
Alas, the judges were totally Lannisters when it came to the commentary and scoring (has anyone ever noticed the similarities between Len and Tywin Lannister?). Instead of focusing on the sheer awesomeness of the music and interpretation, it was like they cared about this dancing thing more. Weird.
They only awarded 23 points.
At least Tom Bergeron had the right attitude with his closing quip: "I'm just glad you didn't go with the Red Wedding tango."
