'Dancing With the Stars': We talk to the finalists

Cheryl-Burke-Rob-Kardashian-cropped.jpgThe finale of the 13th season of "Dancing With the Stars" is upon us at last. Zap2it got to chat with the three remaining couples after a surprising round of dancing the night before the final elimination.

Rob Kardashian and his partner Cheryl Burke scored three perfect 10's for tonight's freestyle dance, something Rob told us he never thought possible. "I did not expect to get a perfect score tonight," he said. "Especially with the freestyle, which is the most important dance. I'm super happy, shocked, so excited. I'm really on a good cloud right now."

Ricki Lake did some fancy moves and some lifts that she was originally terrified to do. In fact, she gave partner Derek Hough a bit of a wallop on the chin. He didn't seem upset by it at all. "It went so well. It's great, and on top of that, it's coming to the end. Thirteen weeks without a day off!"

The biggest news of the night was the freestyle dance that J.R. Martinez (who injured his ankle last week) did with partner Karina Smirnoff. After a not-so-great first dance, which got him one 9, one 8 and one 7, they came back with a series of terrifying lifts that gave a perfect score of 30.

They had a bit of stress early in the day, with Karina almost injuring her neck again and bursting into tears. She told us, "I couldn't do the lift. I just couldn't stay up there. We kept falling. So to come out after the Cha Cha and the morning that we had, and to nail that, it's the best feeling in the world."

We asked J.R. if he would be heading to Broadway next. He said that rehearsal was next up for him. "Working on the jumping jive for tomorrow because we're tied for second right now. Rob is ahead of of everybody. So Rob is the one that obviously has the biggest momentum in a way. We ended on a great note, so we have to go rehearse right now." Karina added that he probably should do Broadway because he has a great voice. So J.R.? "Chicago" for you? Please?

We asked Ricki if she felt any pressure about tomorrow night, because Derek has never lost when he's made it to the top three. "Well, initially there was pressure, because I don't want to be the one that lets him down, but truthfully, I've done everything I came here to do. I've gotten my body into better shape than I ever have in my life. I feel like I've learned to dance to the best of my ability. I did a mean freestyle tonight, so I have nothing to worry about or be unhappy about."
