David Cassidy: DUI charge is bogus

david-cassidy-mugshot.jpg David Cassidy was arrested on a DUI charge in Florida Wednesday night, but he's adamant that he wasn't drunk at the time he got popped.

This despite the fact that the '70s teen idol and father of "Gossip Girl's" Katie Cassidy registered a blood alcohol level of .14 percent on a breath test (well above Florida's legal limit) and that police found a bottle of bourbon in his car.

Cassidy's rep, Jo-Ann Geffen, tells TMZ that Cassidy did take a pain pill for a back problem on Wednesday (Nov. 3), and he was fatigued from having attended a funeral early in the day.
