'Dexter' Season 8 is the end; Debra says, 'I shot the wrong person in that trailer' in sneak peek
Showtime has officially "announced" that everybody has pretty much known for nearly 10 months -- Season 8 will be the last season for "Dexter."
"To thank you for your love and support over the last seven years, we wanted our Facebook fans to be the first to know that the upcoming season will be the final season of Dexter,'" writes Showtime on its Facebook page.
The "Dexter" executive producer said last June that Season 8 would be the final season, adding that the writers know "exactly how it's going to end." And CBS president Les Moonves said in an interview in March that Season 8 is the final one for "Dexter."
But now it's officially official.
In better news, there's a new sneak peek at Season 8 (above). In the sneak peek, Debra drinks beer while wandering around a drug store, as Dexter wonders what is going on with her. Yeah, that whole "shooting LaGuerta" thing is really messing her up -- to the point where she thinks she shot the wrong person that night.
"Dexter" Season 8 premieres Sunday, June 30 on Showtime.
