Did Jacqueline Laurita, 'Real Houswife of New Jersey,' call it quits?

jacqueline-laurita-gi.jpgReports that "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Jacqueline Laurita quit the show via Twitter may be a bit premature.

Here's what's been going down: As has been the case many times before, the Posche Fashion Show proved to be a game-changer for show. As we reported on Sunday (Oct. 2), Melissa Gorga -- the newest addition to the NJ franchise -- denied she was a stripper after she was confronted by a club owner claiming to be her former boss. This all went down during filming for the show's next season, so don't look for it on the air anytime soon.

Well, apparently the stunt was just too much for one of Gorga's gal pals: original cast member Laurita. Per the Wrap, Laurita (she's the one with the bratty teen daughter who we kind of identify with) allegedly announced on Sunday via Twitter that she's quitting the show after one of her her castmates got "set up."

And, reports People, Laurita also implied that fellow "Housewife" Teresa Guidice -- who just happens to be Gorga's sister-in-law -- was behind the set-up.

We scanned Laurita's tweets and what she writes on Saturday (Oct. 1) is, "So enough of this BS! I'm sick and tired of the whole thing . ITS OVER!!" That message follows a series of Twitpics of text messages allegedly sent by Guidice to Laurita, in which she -- Teresa -- tries to absolve herself of blame for the stripper revelation.

But, we're not reading it as a resignation from the show, but rather from friendship with Guidice. In fact, Laurita subsequently tweets about wrapping up taping for season 4 and includes a promo to Bravo's official "Real Housewives" site.

We've got a call into Bravo for confirmation either way. We'll let you know when we know.
