Dog the Bounty Hunter wants to go after Edward Snowden for the honor and security of America. He's even willing to invade Russia to get the job done, according to reports.

Dog (whose real name is Duane Chapman) announced that he would enter Russia -- illegally, if necessary -- in order to track down NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and return him to the United States. The Internet Chronicle reports that the celebrity bounty hunter announced his intentions at an informal press conference outside of Da Kine Bail bonds in Hawaii.

"Sometimes you gotta bend the rules to save America, and if I can catch this traitor Snowden and bring him back to God's side, then it'll be worth the risk of a lifetime of hard labor in a Siberian gulag," Dog was reported to say.

With an incredibly high bounty being available for catching Snowden, Dog may not be the only bounty hunter on the hunt. Few, however, have a history of entering foreign territory illegally in order to get their man -- Dog was arrested in Mexico for doing just that.

Snowden fled the United States after leaking information on NSA wire-tapping operations. He is believed to be living in Russia, something that has caused some tension internationally.

But Dog the Bounty Hunter thinks that he can save the day. "Every Dog has its day, but Snowden, your days are numbered," Dog said at the conference. "Me and [wife] Beth are gonna catch you and bring you to justice the American way. If you're listenin', Slick Eddie, the Dog's comin' for you! You can run, but you can't hide, brah! The Dog has picked up your trail."

Duane and Beth Chapman were last reported to be leaving the country for Hong Kong, one of Snowden's stops in his flight from the United States.
