'Downton Abbey' Season 4 episode 4 spoilers: Does Rose make a connection with Jack Ross?
Check out this sneak peek clip of "Downton Abbey" Season 4 episode 4, premiering Sunday, Oct. 13 in the U.K. Spoiler warning -- don't keep reading if you don't want to know what's happening on "Downton" this season.
The above video features Lady Violet continuing to help Cousin Isobel get back into the world, which is one of our favorite storylines so far this season. Isobel is struggling with seeing Mary talk and laugh with Lord Gillingham at the house party -- "I'm fond of Mary. I love her. I don't want her to be alone and unhappy."
As for the rest of the episode, the description from ITV reads thusly:
Amid the fallout of the eventful house party a trip to the bright lights of London is planned. Here Sir John Bullock shows his true colours and Rose finds gallantry comes from an unexpected quarter.
Gregson shares ambitious plans with Edith, taking their relationship to another level.
Back at the Abbey Mary faces a pressing question about her future, Isobel accepts an offer from Dr Clarkson which rekindles her social conscience, and the manipulative Edna finds herself outmanoeuvred.
Below stairs Carson reveals surprisingly intimate details of his former life, and Daisy's clumsy attempt to get closer to Alfred may push him further away.
Interestingly, the description makes absolutely no mention of Bates and Anna after last week's controversial rape storyline. Hopefully that's because the station doesn't want to spoil anything and not because it goes unaddressed for a full episode. That would be weird and disappointing.
We also wonder if Rose's gallantry comes in the form of Jack Ross, the handsome jazz singer pictured dancing with her below. Woo woo.
For U.S. viewers who aren't watching along with the U.K. broadcast, PBS just announced a "Return to Downton Abbey" special, airing Sunday, Dec. 1 at 9:00 PM on PBS. The special, hosted by Susan Sarandon, will recap the series so far and include a sneak peek of Season 4.
