During the 2014 Golden Globes red carpet pre-show, E! presented a questionable "fun fact" about Michael J. Fox.

It occurred well before the actual awards show began, but many still noted an animated screen box that said: "Fun Fact: Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991."

E! apparently agreed, sending an apology to The Hollywood Reporter before the final awards were given out:

"We regret the insensitive classification of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's diagnosis during our E! Online live stream. We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologize."

Fox was attending the awards due to his nomination for "The Michael J. Fox Show."
