Elizabeth Banks is extremely vocal about her support for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community, and though she has never played any lesbian characters outright, she does think one of her most famous roles might be gay.

In a recent interview with Advocate, Banks revealed an interesting musing about her character in "The Hunger Games" movie series, PR person to the District 12 Hunger Games tributes Effie Trinket.

"Effie Trinket in 'The Hunger Games' might be gay," Banks said. "My vision of the Capitol is pansexual like ancient Rome, where everybody's doing everybody."

When asked if Effie might actually be a drag queen, Banks didn't rule that option out, either. "I've actually thought about that. I think Suzanne Collins created the character to be nurturing and mothering in her own way, so she's probably a woman," Banks said. "But I definitely saw a lot of drag Effies last Halloween in West Hollywood!"

Banks will reprise her role as Effie Trinket in the upcoming sequel, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," which arrives in theaters Nov. 22.
