ELLE on Gabourey Sidibe controversy: 'Nothing out of the ordinary was done'

gabby-sidibe-getty-elle.jpgThere has been online outcry over Gabourey Sidibe's cover of ELLE magazine for their 25th anniversary issue. The criticism has been over the alleged lightening of Gabby's skin and also that the heavier Sidibe was only shown from the chest up, while other svelter cover girls Lauren Conrad, Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried were all show in three-quarters length shots.

But a rep for the Oscar-nominated actress tells Access Hollywood that Sidibe is "absolutely thrilled to be on the cover of ELLE magazine's 25th anniversary issue." Which isn't exactly a response to the outcry, but OK.
