Emmys 2012: Who should win outstanding lead actor in a drama series? Vote now!

emmys-crantson-bonneville-hamm.jpgWelcome back to Zap2it's annual Emmy polls. Every Friday from now until the Sept. 23 ceremony, we'll be asking you to vote for your favorites in all of the major categories. Today, we start with an epic fight looming in the lead actor in a drama category: Cranston vs. Hamm in The Battle of the AMC Stars!

Both Bryan Cranston and Jon Hamm had excellent seasons in their respective AMC shows ( "Breaking Bad" and "Mad Men"), though this season Hamm's Don Draper was more lost and exasperated than emotionally wrought. Still, with Cranston already winning the prize three times and Hamm due, this might be Hamm's year.

But not so fast. Nipping on their heels are two newcomers: Damian Lewis as the war hero/possible spy Nicholas Brody in "Homeland" and Hugh Bonneville as the Crowley patriarch in "Downton Abbey." Both shows are getting out-of-sight critical buzz and both will siphon votes from the AMC stalwarts.

Rounding out the category is Emmy perennial Michael C. Hall from the on-the-decline "Dexter" and new perennial Steve Buscemi from "Boardwalk Empire." If Buscemi didn't get the award last year, when the show had much more critical attention, he certainly won't get it this year.

Who do you think will bring home the Emmy? Vote in the poll below. The 64th annual Primetime Emmys, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, air live at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 23 on ABC.
