Eva Longoria Parker, Alec Baldwin weigh in on 'The Marriage Ref'

marriage-ref-panelists-320.jpgNBC's upcoming show "The Marriage Ref" has lined up a roster of celebrity panelists for its initial run -- and NBC is hoping to give the show a boost by previewing it at the tail end of the Winter Olympics.

The Jerry Seinfeld-produced series, a comedy-reality hybrid with the trappings of a sports show -- including announcer Marv Albert -- will get a half-hour preview on Sunday, Feb. 28, following the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics. It will move to its regular home at 8 p.m. ET Sundays starting March 14.

The show will take squabbles between married couples -- the kind of thing you'd carp about over dinner with friends, Seinfeld told reporters Sunday (Jan. 10) at NBC's press tour sessions -- and settle them once and for all via the Marriage Ref, comedian Tom Papa. A panel of celebrities will also watch the taped arguments and try to sway Papa's decision.

Among the panelists for the first run are "30 Rock" stars Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey, Eva Longoria Parker of "Desperate Housewives," Seinfeld's old friend Larry David and NBA legend Charles Barkley. Albert will serve as announcer and hand out small, argument-appropriate prizes to the winner of each argument.
