Can the debates and speculation over which Hollywood hunk will take on the lead role in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation finally end?

It doesn't look like it. Though rumors started swirling on Tuesday (August 20) that "Sons of Anarchy" and "Pacific Rim" star Charlie Hunnam became the producers' choice to play the "handsome, yet tormented billionaire" Christian Grey from E.L. James' erotic bestseller, sources close to Hunnam as well as studio insiders revealed that no casting decisions have been made on the project, Variety reports.

The rumors originated from a report on Twitchfilm earlier on Tuesday, and while Variety's report reveals that no decisions have been made, that doesn't sound like Hunnam's name is a definite no -- though it's not a definite yes, either.

It may be a while before any final casting choices are made, so keep on speculating and dream casting who you want to see bring the erotic fiction to life on the big screen.

Would Hunnam make a good Christian Grey, or is there another Hollywood actor that's a better fit for the role? Hit the comments with your thoughts and opinions.
