Flavor Flav charged with assault in Las Vegas

flavor-flav-sept-2012-gi.jpgRapper and reality-TV star Flavor Flav was arrested early Wednesday (Oct. 17) in Las Vegas after allegedly threatening another person with a knife.

The incident happened in Flav's Las Vegas home a little before 3 a.m., TMZ reports. Police say Flav (real name: William Drayton Jr.) got into a "heated" argument with a teenager and his fiancee, leading her to call 911.

Law enforcement sources tell the site that Flav threatened one of them with a knife and hit the other person, though it's not clear who suffered the blow and who was the subject of the threat.

Flav was booked on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor count of domestic violence. He's being held in lieu of $23,000 bail.
