Chris Myers, FOX Sports Announcer, apologized to the fans and the drivers on the air for the incident, which also caused damage to several cars, forcing the race to be delayed for about half an hour.

Drivers Kyle Busch, Marcos Ambrose, and Mark Martin reported damage to their vehicles.
