FOX fall 2012 schedule: 'Glee' moves to Thursdays; Tuesdays get a comedy block
The network also announced the new shows it has picked up, which includes two new half-hour comedies titled "The Mindy Project" and "Ben and Kate," which will join current half-hour programs "Raising Hope" and "New Girl" for a Tuesday night comedy block.
"The Mindy Project" features Mindy Kaling (above, right) of "The Office" as a Bridget Jones-like OBGYN and "Ben and Kate" is a sibling comedy about a Type-A single mom sister and her more Bohemian, won't-grow-up younger brother. It stars newbie Dakota Johnson and Oscar-winning screenwriter Nat Faxon as the titular characters. "Ben and Kate" will air at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT following "Raising Hope" and "The Mindy Project" will air at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT following "New Girl."
FOX has added one new drama to the fall slate - "The Mob Doctor," starring Jordana Spiro ("My Boys") as a surgeon who is caught between her medical career and her family's debt to Chicago's mob. It will air Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT following "Bones."
For midseason, FOX has added one drama and one comedy to the schedule. Kevin Williamson's "The Following," starring Kevin Bacon as an ex-FBI agent called out of retirement to track a serial killer, and "The Goodwin Games," a comedy from the executive producers of "How I Met Your Mother" that stars Scott Foley ("Felicity"), Becki Newton ("Ugly Betty," above, left) and Jake Lacy ("Better With You") as estranged siblings thrust back together when their father passes away. They are poised to inherit millions - if they can adhere to his last wishes.
