Greg Kinnear is headed toward his first regular TV gig since hosting E!'s "Talk Soup" in the early 90s. In "Rake," Kinnear plays a brilliant lawyer, who is less than smart with his personal choices. He's got a gambling problem, is in deep with a bookie, falls in love with a prostitute, has a woman who wants him dead and that's only the beginning.
The show has a good pedigree. Based on an Australian show, "Rake" is from director Sam Raimi and one of the creators of FX's "Rescue Me." It also stars Miranda Otto, John Ortiz, Necar Zadegan and Tara Summers.
"Rake" is an hour long, and set for FOX's midseason, Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
