'Fringe' casts Jill Scott as an 'oracle'; Kate Walsh producing TV comedy

- Singer and actress Jill Scott has nabbed a prominent one episode guest role on the final season of "Fringe." She'll play "an incredibly intuitive woman, an oracle-like person" who Olivia seeks out for advice. [ EW]

- Kate Walsh and comedy writer boyfriend Chris Case have sold an untitled comedy pilot to NBC loosely based on their own life as a couple. The premise follows a recently divorced father of two who falls for a female cop not used to being around kids. Also, his ex-wife is living with his best friend. Too bad the title "It's Complicated" is already taken. [ Deadline]

- Netflix has set Feb. 1, 2013 as the premiere date for all 13 episodes of original series "House of Cards." Every episode will be available simultaneously on their streaming service. The adaptation of a BBC drama stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, and the first two episodes are directed by Oscar nominee David Fincher. [ NYT]
 
- Vanessa Marcil has booked a juicy guest role on "Hawaii Five-0" as a therapist and murder suspect. It's just the latest small screen gig for the "General Hospital," "Las Vegas" and "Beverly Hills 90210" alumna. [ TVLine]

- Martin Henderson is the first actor cast on Jerry Bruckheimer's NBC drama pilot "The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives," a soap with thriller elements that explores the aftermath of a murder on three suburban families. Henderson's credits include horror movie "The Ring" and ABC's short-lived "Off the Map." [ Deadline]
