'Fringe': Christopher Lloyd to guest star as Walter's musical idol

christopher-lloyd-crazy.gif"Back to the Future's" Christopher Lloyd is in the middle of a well-deserved career boost. The day after reuniting with co-star Michael J. Fox on stage at the Scream Awards 2010, TV Guide announces that Lloyd will be appearing on "Fringe" early next year.

Is there a better gig for a man who is revered for his portrayal of a mad scientist? We think not.

Walter ( John Noble) is a fan of all kinds of music, as we know, and Lloyd will play one of his all-time favorite musicians. "This fellow was one of his icons," Noble says. "He adored this man. So Walter gets to be a bit of a fanboy."

It sounds as if Noble is a fan of Lloyd's as well. "It's a beautiful role and such good casting," he says. "When I read the script I thought 'I hope hey get someone great.' And Christopher Lloyd exceeds my expectations!"
