FX orders more 'Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell,' pairs show with 'BrandX with Russell Brand'

w-kamau-bell-fx-325.jpgFX is extending the current run of "Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell," ordering seven more episodes of the late-night comedy series executive produced by Chris Rock.

The second cycle of "Biased" will kick off Oct. 11 in a new 11:30 p.m. ET timeslot, immediately following the revamped return of "BrandX with Russell Brand." Brand already told attendees of this summer's Television Critics Assn. press tour to expect a more "conventional" vibe when his show returns.

There are no such creative changes announced for "Biased," which is expected to retain its mix of topical humor, guest interviews and taped segments.

"What we've seen through five shows only reinforces our belief that Kamau is one of the sharpest, smartest and funniest young comedians in the business," FX's Executive Vice President of Original Programming Nick Grad says via press release.

Rock adds: "I'm very excited and looking forward to working with the good people at FX. Please don't tell Rupert Murdoch."
