'Game of Thrones' Season 4: The set, by the numbers

game-of-thrones-season-4-tyrion.jpgExecuting such a complex, epic story on the scale of "Game of Thrones" takes a massive effort by the numerous people involved. To prepare for Season 4, HBO put together a fun featurette about what it's like on location in the four countries where the show shot Season 4 over 180 days.

The gigantic cast and crew -- including five directors, multiple executive producers and a ton of actors -- shot 600 script pages. Star Peter Dinklage calls Season 4 his favorite scripts by far. "You don't have it figured out like you think you do." Kit Harington echoed similar sentiments at the SAG Awards as well.

There are new characters, new cities and new plot elements. Says co-showrunner  D.B. Weiss, "Game of Thrones" is "a show that keeps expanding every year. Every year you're not just visiting new locations in the same world, but new locations and cultures."

Yeah, we're in for a lot of new facets to be excited about when "GoT" Season 4 premieres on Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
