Psy has a lot to be thankful for today. Not only will the term "Gangnam style" potentially be added to the British dictionary, but the music video for his hit K-pop song is the first to have over 1 billion views on YouTube. Sorry Justin Bieber.

"Gangnam Style" was first posted in July, and since then it's gone on to be watched seven to 10 million times a day, Google has revealed. The song passed Bieber's "Baby" music video on Nov. 24. YouTube has appreciated Psy's successes so much that it even created a little dancing icon when it was revealed that "Gangnam Style" was the most watched video of the year, which you can now see next to the viewership number on the video's YouTube page.

"Psy's success is a great testament to the universal appeal of catchy music - and er, great equine dance moves," YouTube trends manager Kevin Allocca writes on the service blog.

"Baby" has 813 million views by comparison.
