George Strait wins 2013 CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year

george-strait-cma-awards-2013-gi.jpgIn 2012, Miranda Lambert found herself defending husband Blake Shelton's Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year award. But this year, there is no disputing the winner of the CMA's biggest prize: It's the undisputed King of Country, George Strait.

At the 47th Annual CMA Awards, Strait beat out Shelton, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, who each arguably had a giant year of his or her own.

"What ... ?" That is how Strait started his acceptance speech. "Never in a million years .. thank you so much."

The "Love's Gonna Make It Alright" singer thanks everyone from his agent to his wife to his grandbaby, and noted how honored he was to be nominated among such an esteemed group. "This blows me away," Strait says. "I just cannot believe it."

Well, we can. Congrats, King George!
