'Glee': Cory Monteith talks Joss Whedon, Neil Patrick Harris, plus Rachel and Finn

When Korbi TV hit The Paley Festival's "Glee" event this weekend, we found Mr. Cory Monteith (Finn) in a celebratory mood, reminiscing about how far the show has come in just one year.

We had seen him at the "American Idol" Top 12 party just two days earlier and Monteith told us it was a surreal moment for him, because last year's "Idol" Top 12 fete was the first public event the cast attended together, still unknown since the "Glee" pilot was yet to premiere.

And look at them now, preparing to meet the President and to go on tour, not to mention sharing the small screen with TV icons like Neil Patrick Harris and being directed by Hollywood heavyweights such as Joss Whedon

In the clip below, Cory talks about how cool the whole experience has been and what a humble, easygoing and awesome guy Whedon is.

You may also want to watch the video to see his adorable -- and telling -- reaction to our suggestion that Finn go after Rachel in the second half of the season...

Love this kid.

The lives of these actors may have changed, but they are still as fun and down-to-earth as the first time we interviewed them last May.

I really want to write "Stay Sweet!" in their McKinley High yearbooks...

"Glee" returns with all-new episodes April 13th on FOX
