'Glee': Ryan Murphy releases Cory Monteith 'Goodbye Finn' banner

In just a few weeks, the "Glee" Season 5 tribute episode -- "The Quarterback" -- will air. Very little about the specific plot has been released, but series creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy has tweeted a first look at the episode's special banner art.

Considering how over-the-top "Glee" usually is, the banner is surprisingly understated. There is no color in the image, a photo of Monteith. A simple phrase pretty much explains everything:

"The hardest word to say is 'goodbye.'"

Interestingly, it has been released that Lea Michele's character of Rachel will have only a small part in the episode. She will appear toward the end of the hour for a "limited but incredibly powerful" song sung as a tribute to her on- and off-screen boyfriend.

The "Glee" memorial episode for Cory Monteith's character airs Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
