The 2014 Golden Globes Awards red carpet was a bit of a wash -- a burst pipe flooded a large section of the carpet shortly before celebrities began to arrive.

Somewhere between one-fifth and one-third of the carpet was affected by the leak, leaving a messy puddle in the middle of the luxurious path. Beverly Hills firemen were required to vacuum up the water, while press set up in the area were moved elsewhere.

King of the Red Carpet Ryan Seacrest was close enough to snap a photo of the wet mess:

The carpet ended up cut apart in order to open up a drain for the water. It's unlikely that any dresses will be ruined before the show begins.
