'Good Wife' Season 4 premiere: Matthew Perry and more things to look forward to
First off, Matthew Perry does appear -- however, it is in the form of an all-too-brief campaign ad. Remember how his character Mike Kresteva is running against Peter in the gubernatorial campaign? We wish his new show "Go On" all the luck in the world (because it's very good so far), but we hope they can find time to get him on a few more "Good Wife" episodes because Kresteva is such a wickedly awesome character.
Kalinda gets to be a bigger butt-kicker than we've ever seen her before, what with the appearance of her estranged husband. And he's is definitely up to no good, pretending he's someone else to infiltrate the firm.
Speaking of the firm, it's in complete turmoil in the wake of Patti Nyholm and Louis Canning stealing the top client and the balloon payment coming due. Enter Nathan Lane as Clarke, the firm's financial trustee. He's not fooling around and the firm is about to see some major changes.
The really delicious on-going storyline involves a bogus traffic stop made on Zach, Grace and Alicia. It causes trouble for Peter in the form of the Madison County State's Attorney and it will be interesting to see how it effects the campaign. Also, it should help Peter and Alicia see that perhaps they should be just a little more in touch with each other, instead of one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing.
"The Good Wife" Season 4 premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
