"Somebody That I Used to Know" is back! The Gotye song that was absolutely everywhere during the summer of 2012 has won Record of the Year at the 55th Grammy Awards.

They're doing a good job of spreading out the trophies actually. Gotye was up against winners from earlier in the night -- including fun. and Kelly Clarkson -- but the award went to the Belgian-Australian singer-songwriter.

Gotye accepted the award with Kimbra, his singing partner on the winning song. Both were obviously giddy with excitement to have actually won, even after "Somebody That I Used to Know" made it to number 1 on the Billboard charts.

Most of the speech was an unexceptional thanking of all those who made the song and the Grammy possible. But there were two exceptions.

One of those exceptions has to have been Gotye referring to his presenter as "the man standing here with a cane." That man was Prince. The singer did **not seem terribly pleased to be referred to in such a way. Granted, he didn't seem too pleased to be at the Grammys at all.

The other notable part of Gotye's win would be Kimbra. On a night when exceptional and exciting costumes were the norm, Kimbra may have won. Her white tulle dress was rather see-through and may have only been allowable because of the many small, golden balls stuck all over the outfit.

It was amazing. And weird -- kind of like "Somebody I Used to Know."
