'Grey's Anatomy's' Katherine Heigl is 'Age'-less

"The Killers" star will star in the romantic drama "The Age of Adaline," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story, written by Mills Goodloe and Sal Paskowitz, revolves around a young woman presumably named Adaline (Heigl) who was born at the turn of the 20th century and suddenly becomes immortal following an accident. Never dying gets a little old after living alone over the decades, and she considers giving up her agelessness when she meets a man who might be worth it.

The epic love story will allow Heigl to not only exercise her dramatic acting chops once again, but also climb into various period clothes.

Production is scheduled to begin in October.

Heigl has also been tapped to play Stephanie Plum in the film adaptation of Janet Evanovich's "One for the Money." She can next be seen starring opposite Ashton Kutcher in the action-comedy "The Killers," in theaters on June 4.

[ UPDATE: An earlier version of this story took misspelled Sal Paskowitz's name based on The Hollywood Reporter's initial spelling before the trade corrected it.]
