Halle Berry can't move her daughter to France, judge says

halle-berry-nov-2012-gi.jpg Halle Berry has lost a round in her ongoing child-custody dispute with former beau Gabriel Aubry.

A judge on Friday (Nov. 9) denied Berry's request to move her daughter with Aubry, Nahla, to France, TMZ reports.

Berry is engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez and has said she thinks France would be a safer place to raise 4-year-old Nahla. She's noted that the country has stronger restrictions against paparazzi than the United States does.

Aubry, who lives and works mostly in Los Angeles, objected to the move.

Berry and Aubry split in 2010 and soon after engaged in a drawn-out court battle over custody of Nahla. They reached what looked like an amicable agreement last year, but Berry's request to move Nahla overseas re-ignited the court case.
