Halle Berry rejoins 'New Year's Eve' in new role

halle-berry-gi.jpgRemember when Halle Berry pulled out of New Line's "New Year's Eve" last month because of a heated custody battle with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry? Katherine Heigl stepped in and replaced Berry as a caterer in the rom-com so she could make herself available for custody litigation.

Well, good news for all parties involved: A Los Angeles judge has ruled in Berry's favor, allowing the actress to fly to New York with her daughter, two-year-old Nahla, to shoot the Garry Marshall film. Berry will be taking on a new -- and smaller -- role in the flick as a nurse.

The film follows a group of New Yorkers as they struggle through drama, love and life over the course of -- wait for it -- New Year's Eve. Other actors set to star in the "Valentine's Day" sequel including Jessica Biel, Zac Efron, Lea Michele, Robert De Niro, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jon Bon Jovi, Sofia Vergara, Seth Meyers, Hilary Swank, Abigail Breslin and Michelle Pfeiffer.
