Hines Ward is 'an officer and a gentleman' on 'Dancing With the Stars'

dwts-hines-kym.jpgIs Hines Ward the new Richard Gere? (Never thought we'd write that sentence.) Bruno seemed to think so after seeing Ward dance in uniform.

On Monday's (April 18) "Dancing With the Stars" pair pro Kym Johnson and NFL all-star Hines danced the rumba to "Proud To Be An American" as part of the show's American Week.

Despite Hines' protests about his sexiness and the couples' small injuries during their "unromantic" rehearsals (head bumps included!), the judges absolutely loved their performance. Here's what each judge thought:

Bruno Tonioli: "An officer and a gentleman. Ease of movement, musicality and just the right amount of sensuality to make all the ladies swoon. Well played!"

Carrie Ann Inaba: "You make it look so easy. You have the best hip action that I've seen in a long time!"

Len Goodman: "It's not forced. It' has a naturalness about it. It's got an ease and an elegance that's charming. That's your best dance so far."

Each judge awarded the couple a 9, giving them a grand total of 27 out of 30, which was their highest score ever and as of their performance, the highest score of the night.
