Even though she's not allowed to sell cookies via the Internet, Alana Thompson -- better known to the world as Honey Boo Boo -- is continuing to bring in money for Girl Scout cookies. It's just that this time, she's doing it the old-fashioned way: standing outside of stores.

On Sunday (March 3), the star of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" arrived at the Milledgeville Mall in Georgia to sell boxes of Girl Scout cookies. The 7-year-old celebrity and the rest of the Boo Boo clan (that's Mama June, Sugar Bear, Pumpkin, Chubbs and Chickadee) worked with the number 60373 troop of Girl Scouts to bring Thin Mints and the rest to the world.

Honey Boo Boo used her fame to good effect throughout the day. When she wasn't holding signs and inviting customers, Alana posed for photos with any fan who bought at least five boxes of cookies.

Earlier in the week, the family had gotten into trouble with the Girl Scouts of the USA when Alana began offering cookies for sale via her rather popular Facebook page. The more than 700,000 online fans of Honey Boo Boo would not be allowed to purchase the cookies, because part of the point of selling the cookies is to teach girls skills only learnable in a face-to-face context.

Alana is not actually a Girl Scout herself and decided to sell the cookies to help out a friend.
