Comic-Con 2012: Keep up even if you can't make it

comic-con-2012-poster.jpgComic-Con 2012 started last night at the San Diego Convention Center and will run through Sunday (July 15). Over 130,000 are expected to attend the panels, exhibitions, and social events. According to UT San Diego, tickets sold out in 90 minutes disappointing some fans.

Even if you don't have a ticket, there are some ways to still be a part of the world's biggest pop culture convention.

In addition to Zap2it's comprehensive coverage, several sites -- including MTV -- are live-streaming panels such as "Breaking Dawn" and "Teen Wolf".

If you're in San Diego or Southern California in general, think about heading down to Bayfront Park. Warner Brothers and "Extra" are hosting a free festival with stars from "The Vampire Diaries", "The Big Bang Theory" and "Fringe"; musical performances; all of the Batmobiles; and more! You could enjoy beautiful San Diego and the Comic-Con spirit without having had paid the Comic-Con badge fee.

Selected flicks to get you in the Comic-Con mood include "Alien", "Iron Man 2", "Watchmen", "Superman Returns" and many more. Just look for the Comic-Con category.
