Is the Royal baby due date July 23 ... or later?

kate-middleton-nose-plastic-surgery.jpgAll of England (and much of the world) is on pins and needles awaiting the Royal baby, first offspring of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. There were reports of her due date being anywhere from July 11 to 17, which have (mostly) come and gone.

But now a new NBC News report says that Kate's mom, Carole, has told friends that the baby will be a Leo -- an astrological sign whose dates don't begin until July 23, nearly a week from now.

Royal contributor Camilla Tominey adds that since Kate spent the last weekend at her parents' house, "that would suggest that she's at least not expecting her baby until next week," because the Middleton house is miles from the London hospital where she'll give birth.

When the baby finally is born, Prince William will first call his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, then a courier will take the bulletin from the hospital to where it will be displayed outside Buckingham Palace, including time of birth, weight and height -- but not necessarily the name.

Right now, the shortest odds (because, yes, people are betting on everything about this little baby) are on a brown-haired girl named Alexandra.
