Jackie Chan agrees to join 'The Expendables 3'
Jackie Chan is taking the right step towards action movie retirement: He's planning to join "The Expendables 3." According to a new interview with the actor, Chan admits that he's taken a role in the upcoming ensemble action film.
"Sly had invited me to be in 'Expendables 2' but I was too busy filming ['Chinese Zodiac'] and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes," he tells Cinema Online. Chan adds that he hopes "The Expendables 3" will be a "buddy-buddy" movie, and says that Sylvester Stallone obliged his request.
Huffington Post reached out to Chan's representative for comment, and the response was that "nothing has been set at this time."
Not long ago, Chan told Reuters that "Chinese Zodiac" is going to be his last big action movie. "I'm not young any more, honestly," he said. Fortunately, by joining "The Expendables" franchise he'll be fighting alongside other famous action movie stars who also aren't young any more, but can still kick butt.
