Jacqueline Laurita's $340,000 debt comes from unpaid taxes
Here's hoping "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Jacqueline Laurita has been saving her pennies, because she has just been leveled a pretty hefty tax bill from the state of New Jersey. Laurita's $340,000 debt comes from not paying her taxes to the state for an undisclosed number of years.
TMZ has the bad news, and notes that she isn't the only "Real Housewives" star to have money troubles. Both Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice are dealing with bankruptcy now after starring in the hit Bravo series. Giudice and Laurita have starred in "Real Housewives of New Jersey" since it premiered in 2009.
Maybe it's time Bravo hires its reality stars a money coach so they can learn how to handle their finances. That is, unless the network is actually planning a "The Girls Pay Their Bills" like TMZ suggests, and then this fiasco will just end up being good television.
