Jaleel White: 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant speaks about his ex-girlfriend's abuse claims

Jaleel White.jpg"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Jaleel White has responded to his ex-girlfriend's allegations of physical and verbal abuse. He tells People, "When you're doing well in life, it's par for the course certain individuals will try and knock you down. When the individual is also the mother of your only child it is particularly hurtful."

Bridget Hardy is claiming that White pushed her into a toilet, causing it to break and that he pushed her in the chest area. White says that this was all because of a custody dispute and no charges were ever filed.

White says that he can't go into detail because of an agreement with the judge, but says, "I guess my most recent successes have been too much for her to stomach. I'm assuming I have not received her votes these past Monday nights," referring to the dancing competition.

He says he hopes his daughter will Google her parents someday and see that this was handled in a classy manner. He continues, "Bridget Hardy is the mother of my only daughter in this world and without Ms. Hardy I would not have the treasure that is my daughter. God knows the truth. ... I ask for your sensitivity during this time, I can assure all of my fans this is only residue from a child custody matter."
